24th - Barscape - Amber....

Chicken Breasts are grilling; creamed spinach is simmering, the wild rice is steaming - hmmmm....lets eat at the bar tonight!  It has been a while since I did a barscape, my husband and I have been eating at the dinning room table the last several months....so here is the first barscape for 2011!

The "chargers" so to speak, are 11 1/2" dinner plates - Roscher & Co. Earthenware, the white plates are Johnson and Bros.

The bamboo silverware was a great accent to the placemats and the color scheme...
These beautiful saucers are a "no-name" but the colors were so pretty I had to have them....

The large amber jar and bronze candlestick holders went so well with colors from the saucers....

54th Tablescape - American Atlier Athena

How is it we fall in love with each and every new tablescape we create.  It amazes me that with each new week and each new tablescape - I fall in love with the look, thinking oh this one will have to stay for awhile.  And then the next week comes and we have a brand new idea for a new table and just have to change it and fall in love all over again......
Last week I had some beautiful blue and white bavarian china on the table and thought it would be there for a few weeks - this week the love affair is with American Atlier's Athena.(AAA)...
Welcome to the dinning room......complimenting the American Atlier's Athena (AAA)are serving pieces from Pfltazgraff (which is one of my favorites) the all white and the lines are such a nice compliment.

  Here with the candles lite!
The soup tureen is not marked but matches very nicely with the Pflatzgraff....purchased at Goodwill for $5.06.
The AAA placesettings are all from Goodwill as well - each piece was $1.06 - all settings - total cost $21.20 plus tax - what a bargain!
Don't you just love the glaze.....
Fell in love witht the sculptured salad plates and bowls..there is a slight grey tint around the edge.

The arrow design around the edges have a grey tint as well...

The detail on the handle of the coffee cups make them so unique..
Used these white crackled glasses and silver rimmed wine glasses...
Another serving piece from Pflatzgraff - I purchased this piece from Hospice - $2.00.
Check out my buffetscape:

The coffee Urn, sugar bowl and creamer were all three separate purchases at three different thrift stores...The Urn from Goodwill $6.06; the sugar bowl from Hospice $2; and the creamer from PAW's thrift store $3..I have spent the last year putting together my white Pflatzgraff set from Thrift Stores...just need the tea pot....
