Valentine's Day Tablescape

Am really loving all the great finds of "vintage" items at thrift stores - they are very pretty. Single Rose plates - 4 pc place setting for 4 along w/serving bowl - Craig's Lst - $15...

Storing Coffe filters

If your coffee machine requires the cone type filters here is a way to keep them stacked, organized and easy to retrieve.

I was sick of having them scattered in the cupboard - this works really well!


Just a handy idea for storing cone type coffe filters.

For those of you that use the other type of filters - a bowl works really well! Just set them in there and pull them out one at a time.

Barscape - #3

Really enjoy putting out these barscapes - simple, quick but very enjoyable!

Silver charger on basic black placemat. The dishes are china picked them up from a thrift store 5 for $1! Simply beautiful - classic white china, silver band with single gray tone rose in the center.

Basic white linen napkin - 4 for $1; Black etched napkin rings - 4 for $1.99 - both at thrift stores.

The silverware is stainless steel - purchased brand new from a thrift store - 3 piece placesetting for $2. Love the smooth, sleek design.
I placed star shapped candles on the saucers - for romantic lighting.

Just a really nice look -

2nd Barscape

Decided that we have all these beautiful dishes, napkins, placemats, silver & candles galore - why not use them. This is my second barscape.

The placesettings consist of a 4 place dish set that I purchased for $6 at a thrift store, 4 brass chargers $3.00; at a thrift store; 8 lace napkins $1.99; and 2 embroidered placemats $.50; the napkin rings were 4 for $1.00. The candles are from Dollar tree - hurricane glass and candle $1 ea.


The silverware is "Queen Bess" 8 place setting I purchased off of Craig's List for $20.

We enjoyed another candlelight dinner at the bar (My Husband & I always eat our meals at the bar unless we have company).

In winning the wonderful giveaway sponsored by Jeannett & Doug at http://gafoodies.blogspot.com/ I shopped from pics that Jeannette sent to me via email.
The Center apothecary jar was one I picked from a picture of several items that Doug had the opportunity to preview from an auction and he was able to win that item for me.
The two candelsticks on either side of the lighted glass block were two more items that I selected from pics.
