11th Barscape - Farberware "Sanibel Island" & Homer Laughlin

Here is my weekend barscape.  As I have explained before I set the bar because that is where my Husband & I eat our meals.  I do a barscape every weekend so that we are actually using all the stuff I buy for Tablescapes...This weekend's barscape is Farberware, Sanibel Island and Homer Laughlin.  I was only able to find 4 dinner plates and 1 desert plate & two cups at my local Goodwill - will have to keep looking for more pieces - because they are absolutely gorgeous and I love the glaze - very similar to the Pflatzgraff glaze that I love...

The stem ware is also from GW $1.06 each - got 4 of them.

The flowered placemats and the flowery napkins were separate purchses at two different Hospices.  The silver is our regular silverware - our "everyday"....

the bowls are Home Laughlin - this white set happens to have that pretty glaze as well.

Dinner is served - husband patiently waiting for pics.  On the menu - Ginger/Teriyaki shrimp - marinated then cooked on stove top in grill pan, stoned/baked-buttered asparagus tips and steamed basmanti rice.  Mint ice tea our beverage of choice...

26th Tablescape - Red, White & Blue....Happy 4th of July!!!!

26th Tablescape - Patriotic - 4th of July - what better colors then the great Red, White & Blue.

Started with a real flag as my table runner;  Red, white & blue flowers....

Found these fun desert plates - they are Debbie Mumm from Jo-anne Fabrics originally, I picked them up at "Last Chance Thirft Store" on 1/2 off day a few months back - paid $.84 for each. The white dinner plates are Homer Laughlin's purchased for $1 each; The napkins are red, white & blue checkered with a silver napkin ring and some flowers tucked in...

This vase I found at Goodwill just the other day - the colors are perfect for the table and the saying written on it made it a "have to have".  The saying is "Love is Patient.....Love is Kind"..needless to say this vase will be out somewhere in the house all the time.

Thrift purchase - 06/22/10

Hunting today had its best reward....My sister, Dawn and I have come to the conclusion that the thrill of shopping at thrift stores is more the "hunt"; and then another blogger has actually named his blog "Goodwill Hunting" he has some wonderful finds as well.  Anyway - I couldn't pass up posting this wonderful find...

The silver is Wm Rogers IS - have been unable to identify the pattern - if anyone can help? 

I purchased 50 pcs - 47 are all this pattern -

These are the other 3 pieces - too pretty/dainty to pass up.  All 50 pieces were $5.00 - that is probably going to be my best deal for the month of June....

10th Barscape -Homer Laughlin: Purple & Blue

Blue & Purple; We enjoyed dinner with this beautiful setting; Purple chargers; light blue Homer Laughlin dinner plates and these cute purple/light blue desert plates by Evandale (not a known brand - but the colors were too pretty to pass up). Of course beautiful Wm Rogers Silverware - it is our everyday set!
