27th - Tablescape - Simply Flowers

Welcome!  This letter ceramic easel was a cute acquirement courtesy of Hospice for $.99 - it is perfect on the edge of the table for this week's tablescape.

Choosing simple white with flower accents letting the centerpiece take center stage.
Having grown very found of the hurricane lamps I don't know that they will ever leave my table.  We do use our tablescapes and the hurricane lamps are perfect lighting for dinner.  I also like the fact that I can either stick a taper candle in them (with no wax mess on my linens) or I can place a jarred candle in them.  they are very versatile and the clear glass goes with everything.

I used two smaller table runners - the bottom one is beige with white crocheted edges; and then I placed a white lacy runner on the diagonal over it.

Fitz & Floyd "Wintergarden" small platter on one corrner of the runner and Homer Laughlin white small platter on the opposite corner holding the silver serving set.

The silver is 1941 Wm Rogers "Gardenia"

The placesettings consist of Homer Laughlin white dinner plate on a brown charger; the flowered salad plates are each a different flower/different color - Pier 1/Fall Floral.  The silver is 1941 Wm Rogers "Gardenia".

Candlestick holders opposite ends of the table.

As always - thanks to Susan at BNOTP for sponsoring Tablescape Thursdays. Remember:

  5. I love your layered runners -- such a great idea! And you're right -- hurricanes are great additions to the table. This time of year, they keep the air conditioning from blowing candle wax all over! Love the pretty flowered plates!
