The plates are Pflatzgraff, Market Scene; the bowls are also Pflatzgraff but just the "Soup & Cereal Series". They matched so perfectly. Pflatzgraff is one of my very favorite makers of dinnerware - love the glaze. It is so familiar to me that I am can pick them out of stack of plates at the thrift stores.
I used 2- 22" napkins as placemats then set these round straw placemats on top like chargers then set the place settings.
This set the desert/salad plates are all different fall vegetables - pictured is the pumpkin and the red onion.
With the colors from the plate the napkins I used for the placemats were perfect.
I used the napkin tutorial Susan/BNOTP posted (click here to link to the tutorial).
The green needed to be brought out...found this cornicupia at a Thrift Store I just found it was too pretty to leave sitting there....$2. The candlesticks are green as well!
Here is the view from the end of the bar!

Great straw placemats! I've never seen them that pretty paler color. Great idea to use the fall veggie plates!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Tammy--I've been visiting your blog for so long now that I feel as if we're old friends! I really love these salad plates you're featuring this week, and the green glassware and candlesticks are perfect with them. The striped mats make a great base, too!
ReplyDeleteYou get more mileage out of a breakfast bar than anyone I've ever seen. Kudos! Your plates are darling. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
