53rd Tablescape - Shades of Blue; Bavarian China

53rd Tablescape and my 50th Birthday week - whewww - so I choose shades of blue for my color scheme - not that I am blue about being 50 (okay - maybe a little bit)  but I it is just a number and I don't feel a day over 30 - just my body betrays me once in a while...

I used a wide white linen runner and then placd these two blue and white napkins on the diagnol for the center....
The little crystal decanter is filled with blue colored water and the apothercary jar has blue ceramic napkin rings inside...
The China is "Christina Porcelain, Bavarian Blue by Selfmann Weicien, W. Germany....it is the only Porcelean China I own - I recently purchased from a Craig'slist seller - 23 pieces for $8...
White ceramic bow napkin rings, around starched white linen w/blue embroidered flower and trim napkins.  I purchased these for $2 at Hospice several months ago...

On each corner of the table I added these cute little tea towels...

As always - thanks to Susan at BNOTP for sponsoring Tablescape Thursdays. Remember: "Around the world - - life is best around the table". Thanks for visiting; please leave some encouraging words!

  2. Happy Birthday!!! I'm turning 50 this year too so I'll celebrate with you. I think this table is beautiful. My favorite shot of all is the opening one where you can see it all spread out. Love all the blue and white. I place setting itself is really lovely, too.

  9. I think that it's not so much that we don't feel whatever age we are turning...we just don't have any idea what that age would feel like when we got there. I love your tablescape...blue and white always makes me very happy. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
