55th - Tablescape - Valentine's Day; Bradbury

Happy Valentine's Day!  What better than Johnson Bros., Bradbury Ironstone - red & white flowers!  About six days ago I had carpal and cubital tunnel surgery on my right wrist and elbow; needless to say I am not able to use my dominate right hand for anything for the next couple of weeks.  Not do a Tablescape?  I don't think so - one-handed tablescaping just a new adventure!

Although I was very limited in items with any weight, I was quite proud of myself being able to tablescape one handed...

Using a white tablecloth - grant it is shorter than the table - which I love the look of leaving some of the table uncovered, sort of framing the settings area.
Using the clear glass area to place the serving pieces on to get a little bit of the reflection factor going...
The back of the plates are just as pretty as the front side...

This vase is full of the dozens of dried roses my husband has given me over the last two and a half years - they still smell wonderful....  The wooden cross was carved last weekend by my wonderful husband...
Typing the captions for this blog proved to be the most difficult part of this "one-handed" tablescape posting!

As always - thanks to Susan at BNOTP for sponsoring Tablescape Thursdays. Remember: "Around the world - - life is best around the table". Thanks for visiting; please leave some encouraging words!

  6. Well, now you can honestly say that you can tablescape with one arm pinned behind your back.

Next week, try it with your eyes closed. Bet you can do that too!

This really is pretty, and I would love to have a set of those dishes.
