65th Tablescape - Lady Bugs....

It has been awhile since I posted - been busy, busy....Not that I haven't done a tablescape every week and a couple of times a new tablescape twice a week.  So here I am - back and buggy.....

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs.....Did you ever think you would purposely set a table full of bugs!  Well it never crossed my mind until I ran across these beautiful lady bug plates/setting!  Being a huge "favorite color is RED" red fan these place settings screamed - "take me home and put me on your table".  So I listened....

The little metal bird house in the shape of a purse "welcomes" all that enter our front door, it was a perfect accent to this tablescape.
Although the bugs on the table give you a "picnic" like feel - I had to add the red chair covers to bring out the red.....

I used the coffee mugs and bowls for the centerpiece and placed water with floating candles in them....
This little dragonfly accented candle holder was given to me by my Dad....
I used straw red/checkered placemates for accenting the bamboo silverware that I though was "outdoorsey".

This candle holder has a gate like entrance sort of "come into my garden", this was also given to me by my Dad.
The dragonfly napkin rings around red/white napkins - I set to the upper corner of the placesetting so as not to hide the ladybugs....
The freak for candles that I am - I placed these votice holders at each placesetting with a little clip on dragonfly that I use quite often for my spring/summer tablescapes...
Here is a great shot of these adorable lady bug plates.  They are Hausenware designed by LIbby Wilkie -purchased at Ross for $2.99 a piece.  The red dinner plates are 222 Fifty also purchased at Ross set of 4 for $6.99.  The white chargers are old Gibson...

As always - thanks to Susan at BNOTP for sponsoring Tablescape Thursdays. Remember: "Around the world - - life is best around the table". Thanks for visiting, please leave some encouraging words!
