Need comments on Idea for "Plate Exchange"
In going through my dishes I had a brain storm (at least that is what I am calling it). With all the different tablescapes we love to do - we still run out of dishes and or new/fresh ideas. So, I was thinking what if we had a plate exchange of sorts. We all probably have some dishes we would like/need to part with but would love to have different ones. Would love feed back on this, haven't really worked out the details want to see what type of response I get first! So - leave "some encouraging words" and will take it from there....

I've done dish exchanges in the past with groups and girlfriends. Everyone brought a sealed, wrapped box of whatever the exchange was for (i.e., a teacup, a saucer, teacup and saucer, one plate, sugarbowl, creamer, a couple of plates, etc.) then the boxes were exchanged (but I don't remember the details about how it was done). I remember having an exchange at some kind of shower or housewarming and it seems like it stated out at a white elephant kind of thing and evolved from there. At the time there seemed to be alot of other dish-lovers. At any rate, I'm not sure how it would work in blogland. Looking back, I miss those exchanges. Sometimes you got a new item and sometimes an old one. I seem to recall that there was one particularly ugly item that kept going around and around.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun - I would be up for that! Thanks for the input!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great idea. I am always having plate envy while looking at people's tablescapes!
