Back from Vacation
Back from two weeks of vacation. We traveled Colorado, Utah and Arizona's National Park. Lots of hiking! Blessed with beautiful weather - only snowed once! Can you believe it it snowed the end of May. We did hit a little rain on our way back to Denver on Saturday but it was just a few sprinkles. Look for pics to be posted soon. Missed two tablescape Thursdays but will have a new barscape for this week!

8th Barscpe - Pflatzgraff Italian Vine
Barscape this week - still enjoying the "Clear Tablescape" I did last week so no changes to the tablescape. So far I have only found two place settings of the Pflatzgraff Italian Vine so it is perfect for my barscape.

Started with these cute placemats with matching napkins that I found at Hospice Thrift Store. They are all cotton and each one is a little different.
Using two green bowls from another set brought in a different color and changed the dimensions a bit.
Added a silver soup spoon....

Added some candles.....
My favorite embossed green glasses that are perfect for iced tea!
And now the food.....
Fresh green salad.............
Home baked wheat bread. Glasses of iced tea.......
and My Husband's, dry rubbed, grilled baby back ribs.......
The food was fabulous, the settting warm and inviting. Always feel better serving dinner when I have taken the time to set the bar or table just for that occaision. Makes it feel like an event! Thanks for stopping by, please leave some encouraging words so I know you were here and can visit you! As always, thanks to Susan at BNOTP for bringing us all together again this week! Remember: "Around the World, life is best around the table". (I will be on vacation for the next 2 Tablescape Thursdays but look forward to posting a new tablescape when we get back!)

Need comments on Idea for "Plate Exchange"
In going through my dishes I had a brain storm (at least that is what I am calling it). With all the different tablescapes we love to do - we still run out of dishes and or new/fresh ideas. So, I was thinking what if we had a plate exchange of sorts. We all probably have some dishes we would like/need to part with but would love to have different ones. Would love feed back on this, haven't really worked out the details want to see what type of response I get first! So - leave "some encouraging words" and will take it from there....
24th tablescape - Clear Classic
Placing the table runner across the width as opposed to across the length gave two of the settings a placemat look.
Three huricane lamp candle holders for the centerpiece with just a splash of color from the flowers and ivy around each lamp.
Using a purple napkin wrapped in a white lacy napkin and an imperial silver napkin ring - pulling the purple from the flowers around the center/large hurricane lamp.
Each placesetting has a 10", 8", 6" clear plate and a clear embossed bowl. The wine classes have clear ecthing.
Placed a few silver pieces on the table, silver butter server, tea service with sugar bowl & creamer. Silver salt & peper shakers are at the center.
Candles are lite! Ready for dinner..
As always thanks for visiting - please leave some encouraging words so I know you stopped by and can return the visit! Thanks to Susan at BNOTP for hosting our Tablescape Thursday! Have a blessed week and remember "Around the world, life is best around the table"!
